This is what you get in the More version of this window (you use the More button to show it).

Wave Shape Instruments - Audio Format

Set the audio settings, volume, device and so on for waveform player - also RENDER TO FILE - save any notes you play on waveform instruments to an audio file

High

Set the volume for the waveform player high, suitable for up to 3 note polyphony...

High volume is a level that lets you play up to three notes simultaneously at maximum volume without clipping.

Low

Set the volume for the waveform player low, suitable for up to 25 note polyphony...

Low volume is a level that lets you play up to twenty five notes simultaneously at maximum volume without clipping.

Playback DEVICE - DROP LIST (Alt + D)

Maximum CPU load (Alt + L)

PRIORITY - set higher if it pauses at low CPU load - DROP LIST (Alt + P)

RENDER TO FILE

Renders everything played with the Waveform Instruments to an audio file - this is a CLEAN RECORDING with no noise or artefacts as the waveform is saved directly to the file - it isn't recorded through a soundcard...

The file name used to save to is the same one that you set in Record to file (Ctrl + 11) with the extension: ".waveform_player.wav"

The waveform is saved directly to the disk exactly as calculated.

Play notes at desired times when rendering

best left ON for more accurate timings in the rendered audio file

Skip leading silence for latency when rendering

Normally switched ON. Skips the beginning of the recording - which is SILENT...

When the notes start to play - e.g. when you play a rhythm or fractal tune - a short section of silence is played first to buffer the notes. The amount depends on the amount of Latency you set for the device.

Since there are no notes played during this section of the recording, then you might as well remove it.

Compensate for audio drop outs

Adjusts the timing of the notes to take account of the gaps in the sound while playing the notes...

Best selected. If unselected, if you get gaps in the sound due to high CPU load on your computer, then the notes will be longer than expected - and so you get irregular timings and the notes gradually drifting out of sync with the visuals.

Makes no difference when you use Render to File option. Idea there is you are more interested in getting a good audio file than playing back in time with the visuals. That's because your rendered recording will get played back without any gaps in it even if you had gaps while you played the notes.
