File associations and other command line options

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.ts

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.scl

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.lsc

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.lmd

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\tsfile

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\sclfile

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lscfile

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lmdfile

'When you register

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Fractal Tune Smithy\CurrentVersion

CurrentUser - User's name, if registered.

RegCode - Registration code, if any.

FTS 1.082 used some other registry entries too - see next section: [#1083_and_earlier Some other values used by FTS 1.082 and earlier] . FTS 1.09 moves these all to a file start_up_etc in the program location folder and removes the registry values for them. It then removes the reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Fractal Tune Smithy if no longer needed (i.e. if you aren't registered).

This is to help towards keeping the registry small.

Some other values used by 1.082 and earlie

The old values are:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Fractal Tune Smithy\CurrentVersion

MidiDevice - MIDI output device to tick at start of session.

MidiInDevice - MIDI input device to tick at start of session.

PlayOnStartUp - set to 1 to automatically start playing on start up by file association, 2, to play on start up normally, 3 for both, 0 for neither. (Changed using File | Play on start up normally and File | Play on start up by file association ).

When you select the boxes for windows to show when starting up by file assocation

LMD , LSC , SCL , TS - Which extra windows to show, if any, when starting by file association for .TS, .SCL, .LSC and .LMD files.

STARTUP - Which extra windows to show, if any, when starting up normally.

SHOWNOW - Which extra windows to show, if any, when clicking the Show Now button in File | Command line options .
