Help for Tune Smithy

# Examples of some of the things you can do

To try your skills at basic wiki editing use the Sandbox.

This page includes demos of some things you can do in this wiki such as embedding images, maths, source code, highlighting, tables, and java script.

You can try out any of these in the Sandbox as well.

Or edit this page at the end of each section, below the horizontal line (shown as ---- in the wiki markup text).

# Text styles

Bold text

Italic text

You can also use simple html e.g. for coloured texts, tables etc

Blue text

 1/1 2/1 3/1 1/2 1/1 3/2 1/3 2/3 1/1

- though those may be easier to do using the wikitables - see #tables

To link to an external web page: robertinventor.com

# Link to tool tip help for a window

example: Parts (Ctrl + 9)

# Link to a fractal tune (both midi and mp3)

Link to a fractal tune 1.082a/ascending_above_the_clouds (mp3) - make sure you leave no spaces around the tune name in that one

# Embedded images

To add an image or an audio file, enter the name you want to use for it. Then when you click on the link you will be prompted to browse for the file to upload. Edit this page to see the wiki code you use.

File:Test Only.jpg - wiki code: [[Image:Test Only.jpg]]

Media:Test Only.mp3 - wiki code: [[Media:Test Only.mp3]]

You are welcome to try those out - but please don't upload any files for them so that other visitors to this page can also click to see how it works.

You can embed external images from other web sites directly into the text - just use the url to the image on its own to embed the image, like this one from robertinventor.com

External sound test: | windchimes scale

Hooray success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#### Precision

Do you have a script you'd like to see included in the wiki? Just ask me to upload your script to the server (it's set as a wiki sysop job for security reasons). Once that's done, you can embed your script anywhere in the wiki using its file name within htmlet tags

An easy way to generate the maths (in LaTeX format) is to use the Code Cogs equation editor
