From: PAULE I just received "Detwelvulate!" in the mail from Gary Morrison, and have been listening to it constantly. The 17-Tone Improvisation #1 is clearly not in 17tet! The division of the diatonic semitone into two equal parts is a dead giveaway, if the consonant triads weren't enough. Also, the fifth and fourths, though pleasant, beat quite a bit faster than those in 12 or 17. This narrows it down to 19 or 22 -- the slighlty "off" minor third that starts the piece, as well as some just-sounding major sevenths, identify the tuning as 22: 12 13 11 11 12 13 15 14 13 15 14 13 22 15 14 13 22 15 14 13 20 15 14 13 22 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 6- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- 0- etc. Notice the consonant diminished triad 0-6-11 (ratios 5:6:7). This could only be 22.
