I suspect the > Mac will be similar. Uhmm... I don't think so Bill! The Atari ST is an 8MHz 68000 machine. All but the a very few Macs still existing use something vastly more powerful. State-of-the-art Macs use a processor about 375 times as much compute power! (1.25 instructions per clock at 240MHz compared to 10 clocks per instruction at 8MHz.) Even if it has to emulate a 68K, it ought to be on the order of 50 times an 8MHz 68000, if not more. I think you'll find that Macs, on the whole, are muuuuuuuch faster than the ST.
