(Tuning Digest 1422 Topic 9) From: Mark Nowitzky (Retransmitted, 'cuz I accidentally sent it to the "list processor" instead of the tuning mailing list. Sorry if you receive it twice.) Hi Igor, Sounds like an interesting project! At 10:29 PM 5/21/98 +0000, you wrote (Tuning Digest 1422 Topic 9): >From: BUYO-BUYO-IGOR >Subject: making "GaMa-Oke" together? > >SaRiGaMa's Oil Vending Orchestra >would like to propose you to join our "Hz"-links! >... >What our orchestra intend is to prepare a "GaMa-Oke" a background "karaoke" >and let it be played at our studio jam thang.: >http://www.mars.dti.ne.jp/~buyobuyo/gamagama/forgama.html > >If you could start from latter root-Hzs.... >this will help a lot to let us bind sounds >suitable to our "SONG no.5": >http://www.mars.dti.ne.jp/~buyobuyo/songs/five.html > >207.652 >287.519 >155.739 >241.145 >186.887 > >these all have common harmonics > >233.609 I'm having trouble seeing the harmonic relation on a couple of the above notes. Here's what I get: Freq Name Times "root" (233.609 Hz) ------- ---- ------------------------- 233.609 Bb 1/1 207.652 Ab 8/9 287.519 Db? ? 155.739 Eb 2/3 241.145 B? ? 186.887 Gb 4/5 I cannot determine where 287.519 and 241.145 fit. For example, the closest things I can find for 287.519 Hz are: 207.652 Ab * 4/3 = 276.869, or 186.887 Gb * 3/2 = 280.331. Thanks, and good luck with the project! --Mark +------------------------------------------------------+ | Mark Nowitzky | | email: nowitzky@alum.mit.edu AIM: Nowitzky | | www: http://www.pacificnet.net/~nowitzky | | "If you haven't visited Mark Nowitzky's home | | page recently, you haven't missed much..." | +------------------------------------------------------+
