   What kinds of music are you interested in producing?  Perhaps more
importantly, what kinds of sounds do you want to produce?  Precise
reproductions of "real" instruments, or arbitrary "synthetic" sounds?  Do
you want to intermix those sounds with recorded audio tracks?
