There are several Just intonation modes available in the list,
but how do I set the root tonic?
Werckmeister in Cmaj is different from Werckmeister Dmaj and so on,
I cannot find the parameter for setting the proper tonality.

Sorry this is a bug in the release of FTS. There should be an option to choose the tonic, from a drop list of tonics, but testing the release of FTS just now as downloaded from the download page, I find that it has somehow got set to always hidden. It should show up whenever you choose any scale with uneven steps.

I've made it visible now in the beta of FTS 3.2. If you don't mind working with betas then let me know and I can send you the url to try it out. Looking at the retuning midi player after a while working on another program, I can see many ways to improve it when I get back to it later on.

To explain where I am with Tune Smithy - you may notice if you go to the What's New page that there have been no new updates for some time. That's because I'm focussing my attention at the moment on Bounce Metronome Pro. It is just one small task in tune Smithy - the polyrhythms player, which I have made into a separate program and focussed attention on some new bouncing ball, drum stick and conductor's baton visuals. By working on a smaller program, (at least compared with the whole of FTS) and by taking on advice from many people and those who tested it, I seem to have managed to make a much more user friendly program.

So in the near future I'll be taking what I've learnt from Bounce Metronome Pro and will give the whole of FTS a new look. When I look at it now then I want to do major changes in the layout of the windows, also use the new improvements in the tool tip help too, which should make it much easier to find your way around the program then. So anyway will see what happens.

If you want to be told about when there is any news about the next FTS 3.2, or when it is released etc, then let me know and I'll put you on the mailing list. I don't know when it will be - my original plan was to do it this summer, but it hasn't yet been possible to get onto it, hopefully some time this year, could be even early next year though I hope earlier than that. I'll probably put it into beta for a month or two before the release proper as it has been quite a major change with the update to 3.2  - and then there'll be a chance for anyone who wants to beta test it to give it a go - i.e. to look it over as unfinished software before the release, try it out, make suggestions and so on.

Robert
