This complements the help for Tune Smithy

The FAQ section is nearly up to date and is already better than the FAQ included with the program.

The other sections - Tutorials and Main Tasks section have just begun. Check back again in a few weeks to see how they develop.

How can I help

You are very welcome to join to help build the content and help other users of the software. It's not yet ready for you to dive in and add help right away - the old help needs to be ported first and several things need to be sorted out.

However, there are many things you can help with right away.

If you don't have much time, please don't feel that you can make no difference. A little help from some of the many users of the program would make a huge difference. It might well take months to complete the help by myself. With a little help from the users of the program it might go quite quickly.

Please see How can I help? for details of things you can do to help right now.

Adding pages about yourself and your projects

You may want to add a page here about yourself - to do that, you need to log in, then edit your user page (click on your user name at the top of any page to get to your user page).

You can link to your user page on any pages you add about projects in the Member Projects page - or other suitable places, also if you sign discussions on the discussion pages for any of the articles, your signature takes the reader to your user page.

You can also add pages about your own projects (e.g. CDs or whatever) using Tune Smithy. Add them to the Member projects page. However be aware that by adding material here you give permission for it to be included with the help for Tune Smithy users, e.g. on CD or DVD or maybe a large download installer.

If you wish it to be used more restrictively - I have plans to do a separate wiki for member's projects at some point. Or just include some extracts from your music, and a link to an external web page which the user can visit to buy the CD, download the music etc.
