You can use Shift + click to fast forward...

Also Ctrl to fast forward even more. Shift multiplies the tempo by 10 and Ctrl multiplies it by 100, so the two together would play a fractal tune at for instance, 60,000 instead of 60 as the tempo. This is useful sometimes for fast forwarding through fractal tunes.

Volume

Set master volume for FTS. Other controls also affect the volume...

Bs | Play control brings up the master volume control for Windows as a whole.

The volume is also affected by the volume for individual parts in the Parts (Ctrl + 9) window.

For the Wave shape player, go to the Wave Shape Player Audio Format (Ctrl + 188)

For CSound instruments, you can set the overall volume in the C Sound Save Opts (Ctrl + 168)

Constructs the tune from long middle and short beats in a Fibonacci pattern...

Any short sections of the rhythm will eventually appear again later on, so there is a lot of structure and repetition of parts of the rhythm. But the rhythm as a whole never repeats exactly. So it has a feeling of repetition like an ordinary rhythm, but an elusive quality too because though larger and larger fragments of the rhythm repeat the whole thing never does so you never can find a point where as it were, the "bar" definitely ends.

Each layer also plays the same rhythm, at different speeds. Alternates between interval upwards and same downwards for each beat size...

This ensures a steady pitch long term as every interval upwards is eventually matched by the same interval again downwards.

If you set it to do it every three beats for instance, and had 5/4 for your L, then the first three L beats would play 5/4 intervals upwards, the next three would descend by 5/4, and then they would ascend again and so on. If the L and S follow an irregular fractal pattern, the melody still won't repeat exactly, but because of the alternation, it will always remain within a certain fixed pitch distance of the original 1/1.
