How long ago did the moon begin to form?
Robert Walker
, Interested in the Moon. Especially interesting now with prob. ice at poles, possibly city sized lave tubes ...
Answered Jun 18, 2015
The oldest Moon rocks found so far are 4.5 billion years old. This is only about 200 million years after formation of the solar system so the Moon probably formed not long before.
