Yes, they are obligate aerobes, so need oxygen to survive. But the Mars surface is very oxygenated, the rocks,oxidized, also hydrogen peroxide and perchlorates - though no free oxygen in the atmosphere. Is there any habitat there that an aerobe could live in?

As far as we know, isn't but have much still to learn.

There are microbes that could reproduce on Mars, and lichens might quite likely colonize the surface of Mars according to experiments done by the German Aerospace company DLR - but work in progress, they are able to metabolize and photosynthesize.

But aerobes, don't know of any habitat on Mars where they could live yet.
