Prev Virtual Flower Screen Saver NextAny of the individual Virtual Flowers scenes can be used for a screen saver. However, you can also make a special scene which presents all the other virtual flowers you have at random one after another, together with randomly selected audio clips for each one. You can find out more about it on the Virtual flower gallery page - this shows some of the scenes separately, then you can find out about the random virtual flower at the end. To preview the random virtual flower scene itself right now in your browser: random_virtual_flower.wrl (use the Back button on your browser to get back here). You need Cortona or another VRML Browser installed to see it. Then if you want to use it or any of the VRML files here as a screen saver, download the Cortona screen saver. You can set the Cortona screen saver to show any VRML file, including the on-line version of this file, or better, your own off-line copy (so you don't need to be on-line to see it). To download a zip with all the files you need to install the random virtual flower scene off-line, see the end of the Virtual flower gallery - this is most relevant if you have an operating system other than Windows so can't run the Virtual Flower program. Then follow these instructions to set up Cortona to use the random virtual flower as the VRML file for your screen saver. You don't need to download Virtual Flower to get the files you need to show these virtual flowers in the Cortona screen saver - but on Windows, the installer for the program gives you a quick way to install the files - as a free feature. After the install you will find it on your desktop. Also, when you have Virtual Flower installed, you can remake this random flower file at any time to include new virtual flowers you make yourself, and your own audio clips - see the help for Virtual Flower for instructions. To get the program, download and install Virtual Flower. |
