http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tuning/database?method=addRecord&tbl=7

Section It will default to Newbies Questions if you leave this field blank.

Then click Save Record.

Your question will be added to the Questions page when the tree is next refreshed. You can let me know that you want it updated by sending an e-mail to update_faq@rcwalker.freeserve.co.uk

These can be questions you ask yourself, or ones that you often get asked.

It's okay to add a question which you plan to provide one of the answers yourself.

To add a new one, see Add a question or an answer.

Question will appear here when it is next refreshed.

How to add an answer

The answers page is a kind of index into the faq from Newbies questions.

First add your entry to the tree (see Add to tree).

Then visit this page

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tuning/database?method=reportRows&tbl=7

Find the original record - you can sort the table by clicking on the table column headers.

Then choose Edit , and fill in the Relative url for answer. Then click Save Record.

The Relative url for answer consists of your name, and the file name like this:

author/file_name

You can read it from the top of your entry once it has been added to the on-site tree.

You can leave out the ../

robertwalker/cents_to_from_ratios

and it can be truncated:

margoschulter/why_12_notes

Your answer will be added to the Answers page when the tree is next refreshed.

If someone has already supplied an answer, you can add yours as an extra relative url after the one already in the list - make sure you leave a space between each one.

(N.B. not sure how this will work out when the database gets large enough to need several pages, maybe we'll need some other system by then, but will do for now).
