Details

The emphasis is on frequency detection to within a small fraction of a cent even for quite short notes, so that you can distinguish between the various microtonal pitches and intervals. A lot of spectrum analysis software, though fairly accurate in pitch, doesn't aim to be quite as accurate as this.

What makes this possible are the advanced pitch interpolation options, and for harmonic timbres, the option to add a harmonic analysis of all the pitches to get the fundamental to more accuracy than any of the component partials in the note.

The analysis may find frequencies in the noise if the sensitivity is too high. Best used with a clean recording - or you can spend some time tweaking the noise reduction.

You can also choose the frequencies interactively - click on the spectrum also to add or remove peaks from the analysis individually if it finds too many, or click on the peaks you want to be included in the analysis.

There is less emphasis on ease of use - it is made as easy to use as I could make it, but the idea is that you are most interested in the exact pitches and so it does what it takes to find them even if this impacts on ease of use e.g. by adding extra partials to noisy recordings which you need to remove by hand.
